Often considered the best of Sweetwater Journey’s albums, this recording stands out for both the strength of its songs and the quality of its production. It was completed under the gifted direction of Arthur Henry Gorman, renowned songwriter and composer of The Chicago Folk Service, the first Christian folk service to be used internationally.
Uncommon Friends
Songs from Donn’s days as Director of the Henry Ford Estate Fair Lane (1983-2002). Many pieces were used for the elementary school musicale of the same name.
Walking the Talk of Preservation
This collection of 16 songs was written in connection with Donn’s Great Lakes Maritime Heritage Education course at the University of Michigan–Dearborn, taught on St. Helena Island in the Straits of Mackinac from 1989–2002. Some songs explore the history and daily life of the Great Lakes region, while others evoke a deeper appreciation for its people, places, and traditions. Together, they aim to inspire listeners not only to enjoy this rich heritage but also to help preserve and pass it on to future generations.

Parlor Jam, Christmas 2009
Recorded in the parlor of a historic farmhouse at 7629 Moeller Rd. in Fort Wayne, Indiana, this collection was produced by Richard Harris and features songs and lyrics by Diane and Donn Werling. The recording showcases some of the earliest compositions from this body of work, with lead vocals by Donn and Diane Werling, Richard Harris on harmonica and harmony vocals, Arthur Henry Gorman on vocals, keyboards, and guitar, and Ben Werling on cello.
